Bearpaw Studio · A new chapter
A new chapter for Bearpaw Studio.
I’ve been designing and making stained glass, jewellery and decorative work in Canada since 2005. Over the years I’ve sold at markets, taught others and created commissioned pieces for individual clients.
I’m now bringing that experience together with a clearer focus: bespoke stained glass made from your story, for your home or garden, alongside hands-on tuition for people who want to learn the craft. I’ll be sharing finished work, the making process, student stories and the imaginative garden where I explore how glass, light and planting can work together.
If you have a meaningful image or object, an idea for a window or outdoor space—or you would like to learn stained glass—send me a message and let’s talk.

Learn with Paul · Hands-on tuition
Learn stained glass with Paul.
I’ve taught many students over the years, usually across two or more hands-on lessons so there is time to understand the tools, develop an idea and make real progress on a piece of your own.
I provide the studio materials and equipment for the agreed lessons. Students bring or buy their own glass cutter because it becomes a personal tool and everyone handles one differently.
If you’re interested, message me with your experience and what you would like to make. Tuition is arranged and quoted individually.

Client story · From tattoo to glass
From a family tattoo to stained glass.
A husband asked me to create a surprise panel based on his wife’s tattoo, in which every flower represented a family member. I redrew it for the window, then we agreed the colours and glass together.
His message afterwards: “She was literally overwhelmed with joy and keeps staring at it. Thank you for making it.”

Inside the studio · Made by hand
From drawing to glass. Each section is cut and assembled individually. This is the stage where the colours begin to work together and the original drawing starts to take on light.

Home & garden · Art for the place
The studio carries on into the garden. Light, sculpture, plants and handmade structures all feed the same imaginative world as the glass.
